Cycle recording guide & symptoms
Symptoms
---
Cramps
Backache
Headache
Mood swings
Fatigue
Most period symptoms are mild and common. If pain is severe, bleeding is very heavy, or cycles are clearly irregular, see a doctor.
Recording and statistics only — not medical advice. If cycles are clearly abnormal (shorter than 21 days, longer than 35 days, or very heavy bleeding), see a doctor.

What is it
Only by recording start dates and lengths over several cycles can you see your real pattern. This tool computes the averages and forecasts your next period.
Notes & fun facts
After a few months of logging, your average cycle and symptom pattern become obvious — and that is exactly what helps a doctor judge whether your cycle is regular.
Origin & history
Keeping menstrual records is almost as old as civilization itself: women have marked periods on calendars or tallies for ages to estimate the next bleed and the fertile days. Once research confirmed that ovulation usually happens about 14 days before the next period, the calendar rhythm method became a classic way to map a cycle, and a continuous record of starts, lengths and symptoms still helps doctors judge whether a cycle is regular.
