What is it
This page bundles six small tools around the same idea: your image never leaves the browser. Conversion, cropping, compression, Base64 and GIF making all run through the Canvas API locally, so even large photos are handled on your own device with full privacy.
Notes & fun facts
Images come in many dialects. A PNG keeps every pixel perfect, a JPG trades a little quality for a much smaller file, a WebP does both for the modern web, and a GIF — well, it moved. Understanding these formats is the difference between a photo that loads instantly and one that crawls.
Origin & history
The humble GIF turned 35 in 2022 and still refuses to retire — its 1987 spec introduced LZW compression that runs anywhere, which is why the little animation format survived every rival. Base64 dates to 1993, born from the need to send binary data through text-only email.
