Blood Glucose Log & Trend Chart
Log fasting or 2-hour post-meal blood glucose (mmol/L) with date and optional note; readings are classified against the reference ranges (fasting 3.9–6.1, post-meal 2h under 7.8) and plotted on a trend chart. History stays in your browser only.

Glucose reference ranges & tips
| Measurement | Reference range mmol/L |
|---|---|
| Fasting | 3.9 – 6.1 |
| 2h post-meal | < 7.8 |
Fasting: no food for at least 8–10 hours (measure on waking, before eating).
2h post-meal: start counting from your first bite of the meal.
For self-reference only — ranges are informational and not a diabetes diagnosis. If readings stay abnormal, see a doctor.

What is it
Recording fasting and post-meal glucose consistently gives a far more stable picture than single clinic readings. This tool logs each entry, classifies it against reference ranges and draws a trend chart.
Notes & fun facts
For anyone watching their blood sugar, a dated, typed log of recent weeks is what makes patterns visible — exactly what a doctor wants to see at your next visit.
Origin & history
Self-monitoring of blood glucose is only a few decades old: early urine glucose strips were compared by eye, but once portable glucose meters arrived in the 1970s, a single drop of fingertip blood gave a fast reading, and home glucose monitoring became a cornerstone of diabetes management. Continuous glucose monitors and other refinements later made patterns easier to see.
